Summer Fashion: Sundresses and Wedges

I am soooo incredibly excited for summer to get here! The weather is slowly warming up and I cannot wait to pack away the sweaters and boots and bring out the sandals and dresses.

I've put together a pretty summer look on my latest shopping trip that I would like to share with you all :)

I saw this necklace at Forever 21 and when I saw that the price was only $6.80 I just HAD to buy it and I thought, hey, I could make an entire outfit based around this one necklace... Plus it matched my Juicy Couture bag I was carrying :D

I bought this bag ages ago from www.Juicycouture.com ($300.00) but unfortunately they no longer make it.
I bought this sundress from Express Co, which I happen to be an associate at :)

You can purchase it in the store or you can buy it online here: http://www.express.com/cotton-voile-strapless-dress-35976-22/control/show/3/index.pro#jsLink
It comes in violet and white and it retails for $79.90 but since I have an employee discount, I got it for only $56.00. Express has TONS of coupons and promotions that make it easy to get discounts so sign up for the website and they will send you E-mails and coupons for a certain dollar amount off of a certain dollar amount purchase and let you know when the sales are.

Last but not least, I found these amazing metallic shoes when I went to Shi by Journeys. They are bronze and gold with a zipper detail. The wedge is a cork wedge and had a pretty white painted feather pattern on it.

you can buy them here http://www.journeys.com/shi/product.aspx?id=157085&p=sale&c=939&m=SM ON SALE for only $19.99, or use the lookup feature to locate a pair in a store near you! They are super comfy like most wedges are, and they aren't difficult to walk in, even after i've had a few drinks ;)

The outfit on myself:

Here is what the dress looks like on me. It is true to size, but you may need to go up or down a size depending on the size of your bust.

The shoes - Please ignore the hideous 3 month old pedicure hahaha

and here is the whole outfit. It is the best photo I could get using the self timer on my camera so I apologize for the quality... But I think you can get the gist of it through this photo.

This outfit is perfect for a summer's day out, and hell, even a summer night out if you're not going anywhere too fancy! I love wearing this, it's so comfortable and I get multiple compliments on my outfit when I'm out :) Here are a few more photos, just for fun :)

you can really see how sparkly and pretty the necklace is in this one. I think gold and white really compliment my red hair :)

Thats all folks!

Wondereye Super Nudy Green - Circle Lens Review

I have had these lenses forever but I didn't have a blog to review them on so I didn't get the chance to share them. But now I do have a blog sooo... let's get on it :)

About:

These lenses are comparable to the Geo Super Nudy Series, but a lot of brands are coming out with a series that looks just like these. They are 14.7mm in diameter and available in prescription! They are available in other colors as well: Grey, Blue, Brown, Pink and Violet.

Where to buy:

I purchased these lenses from
http://www.pinkyparadise.com/webshaper/store/viewProd.asp?pkProductItem=242
right there. Pinky Paradise is definitely my favorite lens distributor. They were 22.90 plus $5 shipping to the USA. They arrived about 2 weeks after shipping, which isn't too bad considering they're coming allll the way from Malaysia.

Review:
  • Comfort: 6/10 - These lenses take a bit of getting used to in my eye, mainly because they are HUGE. Once I wear them for a couple hours I get sort of used to them but I can always feel them in my eye which I can't with other lenses I own.
  • Enlargement: 10/10 - biggest lenses that I own, hands down. The pupil hole is also fairly small and what I have noticed with circle lenses intended to change your eye color is that the smaller the pupil hole is in respect to the diameter of the lens, the more enlarging the lens will be. So I do not recommend these if you have small eyes because they will look a bit ridiculous... unless of course that is the look you are going for :)
  • Color/Design: 7/10 - The lens is a two tone lens and the limbal ring is thick and noticeable. The rest of the lens is a sort of speckled pattern. It looks rather reptile-ish and a bit freaky in my opinion! The photo on pinkyparadise is a very accurate depiction of the lens. On my really dark brown eyes the color shows up to be a sort of muted, frosty yet darkish foresty green, kind of a dark turquoise at times if that makes any sense whatsoever lol. It's not super vibrant but the huge size will attract a lot of stares, regardless!
  • Overall: 7/10 - Gorgeous lens, just not for me. I can Imagine this looking amazing as an enhancer on someone with light colored eyes, but with my hair color and skin tone it just doesn't look that great on me :P.
I won't really be wearing these out much... I can't look people in the eye with them haha.
I have lots more circle lens reviews on the way, sooo stay tuned :)

Manic Panic Atomic Turquoise Hair Dye Review

Hi  guys! Yay this is my first post!

I'm going to do a review on some of the old hair dye colors that I used to use back when I was able to have my hair dyed bright colors. (R.I.P. Dyed hair) I had to get a job, and most places wouldn't believe me when I told them that the blue in my hair was natural ;) So this one is the color Atomic Turquoise by Manic Panic.

So, getting started, here is what the dye looks like:

I saw this color at Sally Beauty Supply and immediately fell in love with it because it is one of my favorite colors and I would have LOVED to see it in my hair. So I bought this dye for $8 and a standard bleach kit since bleaching your hair beforehand is necessary when you are a dark brunette like I am. (if you need help with bleaching your hair you can ask the sales representative for some help if you are shopping at a specialty beauty supply store.)

I bleached a panel underneath my bangs to a light platinum blonde color before I put in the dye. You can leave the manic panic dye in for as long as you want because it is not a chemical dye that contains peroxide or ammonia, it's more like a stain - like a fool coloring, only its for your hair and has a thick sort of paste consistency. Be sure to use latex gloves during the bleaching AND the dying procedure, both processes are very messy and can stain your skin. So I left my dye in for a couple of hours, rinsed it out and here is the result that I got!

It was exactly as I imagined it! The color in the photo is exactly the color it is in real life, it has not been edited or enhanced in any way.

Pros:
- Bright & Vibrant
- True to color
- inexpensive

Cons
- Not very fade resistant

Be prepared to have to re-dye your hair every week to keep the bright turquoise color because this color does not stay in hair very long. When it fades it loses it's blueish hue and starts looking lighter and progressively more green with every wash.

Overall I was very satisfied with this color, I got a lot of compliments on it from random people every time I went out of the house. My mother was shocked when I did it, oh goodness... You should have seen her reaction hahaha. But I think it grew on her eventually because she complimented on it at one point. (WIN!!)

Well that's all I've got for this review for ya today, hope I was at least a little bit helpful. If you have any questions feel free to ask :)
